OUR ORIGIN

2012 - 2015

It all began in 2012, when Max Kanu laid the foundation for what would become one of Sierra Leone’s most trusted logistics companies. With just a small operation focused on freight forwarding and customs brokerage, Global Logistics Solutions (GLS) emerged not from ambition alone, but from a deep commitment to trust, reliability, and service. These early years — from 2012 to 2015 — were about more than business; they were about earning a reputation that would carry the company forward.

2016 - 2019

As the vision matured, so did the business. Between 2016 and 2019, GLS began expanding its core services, evolving from a lean operation into a multi-service logistics provider. Freight forwarding was now just one part of a broader portfolio that included warehousing, ground transport, and a more robust customs brokerage arm. With increased demand came strategic investments: more depot space, a larger truck fleet, and a stronger presence in Sierra Leone's transport landscape.

2020 - 2021

Then came the bold leap into the wider region. The years 2020 and 2021 tested the company's resilience — especially in the shadow of COVID-19. Yet GLS didn't flinch. Instead, it reached outward, establishing operations in Guinea and Senegal. Powered by a loyal client base in essential industries like food and agriculture, GLS pushed through the turbulence, proving that its foundation was built to last.

2022 - 2023

By 2022, the company wasn't just operating — it was collaborating on a new scale. A strategic relationship with global shipping giant Maersk pushed operational standards even higher. Simultaneously, pilot programs in Liberia and Côte d'Ivoire hinted at something bigger: a West African logistics network in the making.

2024 - 2025

Now, in 2024 and beyond, GLS is writing the next chapter. Development projects are scaling up warehousing infrastructure. Every service line — from customs to transport — is expanding. And as the logistics ecosystem in Sierra Leone transforms, GLS is not just keeping pace. It's leading the way.

OUR SENIOR TEAM

Max M. F. Kanu is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Global Logistics Solutions. He has more than fifteen years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding. He held several top management roles in a leading global integrated logistics company.

His analytical deftness and instinct for identifying opportunities ultimately led him down the path of entrepreneurship hence, he started Global Logistics Solutions in 2012. Since its establishment, Max has led the company in creating strategic partnerships with local and international companies operating in trade, shipping, and logistics. CEO

Sannie Palmer is the General Manager of Global Logistics Solution [SL] Ltd. He graduated with Diploma and BSc Degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) at the University of Sierra Leone.

He worked as a storekeeper at Sierra Trading Commodity and also worked as a store officer at Africa Minerals Limited.

SANNIE PALMER

General Manager

Magnus Michael Macarthy is the operation manager of Global Logistics Solution [SL] Ltd. He is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the operations department to ensure quality services is provided for our clients.

He graduated With an HND in Building and Civil Engineering which he later pursues at the University of Sierra Leone. He has served in different capacities with G.L.S.
